Watch: Mick Rogers and Peter Sagan help Alberto Contador after crash

Peter Sagan and Mick Rogers came to Alberto Contador’s rescue on stage 17 of the Tour de France after the Spaniard crashed on the descent of the Col d’Allos

Teamwork is the name of the game1 when it comes to protecting a general classification contender like Alberto Contador2.

That s why when the Spaniard crashed on the descent of Col d Allos on stage 173 of the Tour de France he had teammates Mick Rogers and Peter Sagan4 to help him back on his way.

The crash was missed by the television cameras, but a video of the aftermath was uploaded to YouTube5 by a Sagan fan, showing their hero and Rogers fixing up Contador s battered bike.

The Spaniard ended up facing backwards on the road in the spill, with Rogers behind and Sagan in front.

Sagan immediately got off his bike and offered it to Contador, while Rogers put his machine to one side hand helped Bertie repair his own.

A little push and Contador was back in business, leaving Rogers to pick up the spilled bidons and hop back on his bike to finish the descent.

Contador said after the stage that he rode Sagan s bike down the descent, but he must have taken it later if that was the case as he departs this video on his own.
