They have beds for everyone else but my husband is 37 and has been working and paying tax since he was 16. Why is there nowhere for him when he really needs it?

The best situation that can come out of this is that I have to push him around in a wheelchair for the rest of our lives.

The kids are all prepared for it. We just need to change our lives and we will do that just like you see the paralympians do it.

“But at the moment my husband is stranded in a foreign country and we need to get him home to give him a chance to pull through. Dr John Crampton, Medical Director at University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust, said; We recognise that this must be an incredibly distressing time for the patient s family and our teams are doing everything they possibly can to ensure this patient is brought to UHSM as quickly as possible.

We are aware of this patient s situation and this is under constant review.

Currently, our critical care beds are at full capacity due to the severity and complexity of the patients we are currently caring for; this capacity is frequently reviewed throughout each day.

As with any patient who requires our specialist expertise and care, we are doing our very best to ensure we can accommodate them as soon as we are able to and when it is safe to do so.

“We are liaising closely with the team who would oversee the safe transfer of a patient to our hospital.
