Kim Jong-un's Hotel Is Receiving Terrible TripAdvisor Reviews

North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un’s Pyongyang hotel is leaving tourists unimpressed, with guests of the Ryanggang Hotel taking to TripAdvisor1 to leave bad reviews. The hotel, which boasts 330 rooms and a revolving restaurant on the top floor, has been labelled “dirty, cold and hideous” by visitors. SEE ALSO: Guess what’s so special about this Llandudno hotel?3 One traveller, who titled his TripAdvisor4 review ‘Makes you realise what a horror North Korea is,’ wrote: “Western prisons are more welcoming. So awful. And so much brain-washing. I really hated this hotel. No wonder so many No. Koreans want to finally get rid of the Kims and all of their stealing and repression.” Another guest said it was “old and cold” with frequent power outages, electric wiring in a poor state and bare wires coming out of the floor. He added: “But on the plus side, there was a huge flat-screen TV with one channel: the North Korean propaganda channel, where the female narrator tries her best to sound upbeat while clips of Kim Jong Un and some fields and buildings show.”

A visitor from Wirral wrote: “This hotel is shocking, my room was so bad you would think I was making it up.

I promise the room’s electricals were very bad. I flushed the toilet and my feet got a wash…… The beds are so hard I think the floor was more comfortable. I am trying to think of something positive to say about the Ryanggang hotel, I can’t……”

One of the only pleasant reviews for the hotel is from a guest who stayed in 2012 and wrote: “It’s really not that bad. I felt like it was a true North Korean experience. An hour of hot water in the morning and an hour at night. Public spaces cold but the rooms were hot with under-floor heating. No thermostat. Just open the patio door to cool down.

Meals were OK.

I didn’t get sick from anything.”

British couple beaten by security guards at Magaluf hotel

British Couple Beaten By Security Guards At Magaluf Hotel

A British DJ and his girlfriend were violently attacked by staff at a four-star hotel in Magaluf, Mallorca1. Footage of the attack on Friday was shared on social media and appears to show security staff at the BH Mallorca Hotel assaulting Alex Henderson and Robbie Hofmann. SEE ALSO: Fight between unhappy hotel guests and staff turns nasty3 Henderson was left “helpless and purple” following the incident near the hotel’s swimming pool. Writing on Facebook, Miss Hofmann, from West Sussex, said: “They’ve done a great job of painting us in a bad light saying we were refusing to leave and throwing cups … Neglecting to mention that we were pushed and assaulted while walking to the exit by a man bigger than the three of us combined…. BEFORE we had resisted the attack or I threw my cup in the bush next to him (not at him) which was done out of my pure shock!!! “It’s funny how they refuse to provide the CCTV of where we refused to leave or throw cups *out of the blue* — really?

“We were only there to DJ and watch our friends headline a UKhardcore event … We at no point behaved like disrespectful yobs which was how we were treated when apparently walking too slowly towards the exit. You guys are our friends and know us all so please remember how we are … This is a terrible and ill deserved reflection of all three of us. None of this was deserved at all…” British Couple Beaten By Security Guards At Magaluf Hotel

BH Mallorca Hotel responded to the video and said: “The management of BH are as troubled as everyone else by what is shown on the video yesterday. “The guests were not staying at BH Mallorca, they were visiting for the day and refused to leave at closing time. “We do not condone the use of violence & we have been working with local authorities since last night to establish exactly what happened before and after what is shown on the film that lead up to this incident.

“We have asked the external company who provide our security to stop these guards from working here.

The police have reports & we are providing all information they require.”
