7 Vacation Destinations with Best Exchange Rate

The first time I visited the United Kingdom, the U.S. dollar was so much stronger than the pound that when I shopped, it felt like everything was on sale. When I returned this past year, the exchange rate had flipped, making the U.K. a less affordable place to visit. That may not be true anymore, however. After Britain voted to leave the European Union, the pound fell to its lowest valuation since 19851. Brexit has also affected the Euro. These aren t the only currencies where your dollar may buy you more these days. There are plenty of vacation destinations you can visit this summer, where the exchange rate is great. Thanks to data from TripAdvisor Vacation Rentals2, here are seven destinations where American vacationers can enjoy the best exchange rate this summer. (TripAdvisor is the company I rely on to read reviews before making any hotel reservations, as I wrote about in this blog post3.)

Launch the gallery to learn about these destinations, plus how the exchange rate, at press time, was in the dollar s favor.

Remember: exchange rates change daily so your mileage may vary.
