Cannondale-Garmin confirmed on Thursday night the signing of Lawson Craddock from Giant-Alpecin for the 2016 season. The 23-year-old American joins his home team after impressing in his two-year spell with Giant, particularly in support of Tom Dumoulin at the Vuelta a Espa a1 this year as the Dutchman attempted success in the GC. A talented time trial rider, Craddock s best pro results have come at the Tour of California, finishing eighth overall in 2013 and third overall in 2014, the year Bradley Wiggins took the GC2.

Cannondale have already been one of the most active teams in the cycling transfer market this summer, having signed seven new riders before announcing Craddock, including marquee names Rigoberto Uran3 (Etixx Quick-Step) and Pierre Rolland4 (Europcar).
