World's Largest Hotel Set To Open In Mecca

The world’s largest hotel is currently being built in Mecca and is set to open next year. The Abraj Kudia is costing 2.7 billion to build (funded by the Saudi Ministry of Finance) and will have 10,000 rooms over 1.4 million square metres, reports The Sun1. World's Largest Hotel Set To Open In Mecca The hotel features 12 towers, all around 45 storeys high, while a total of five floors will be reserved for the Saudi royal family as Discount Holidays © holiday accommodation. According to the Independent4, the construction will be situated two kilometres from the world’s largest mosque, the Masjid al-Haram, which attracts around five million Muslims every year for the Hajj or Umrah pilgrimages.
