Holidays 2018: Six local Christmas and holiday traditions for the whole family

30, they will be hosting 11 different workshops to get you ready for the upcoming Discount Holidays © holiday season. 8, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec.

9, at 1 p.m at the Recital Hall at the Performing Arts Center. The opera tells the story of the disabled boy Amahl and his mother living in poverty in Jerusalem and a visit from the Magi.

Dickens ‘Christmas Carol’: At the Old Dutch Church in Sleepy Hollow, storyteller Jonathan Kruk tells the story of the Charles Dickens classic “A Christmas Carol” along with musical accompaniment. Performances are Saturdays and Sundays Dec.

Dickens tells a Christmas Carol: At Lydenhurst Castle in Tarrytown, guests travel through the mansion and are regaled with the classic Charles Dickens tale. The performances are Friday, Dec.

Carol of the King: The Irish Dance Christmas Spectacular: At the Paramount Hudson Valley Theater in Peekskill, 20 Irish Dances and musicians perform an original Christmas Story set to Irish Music and dance. The performance is Friday Dec.

Cherish the Ladies – A Celtic Christmas: At the Tarrytown Music Hall on Sat. Dec.

22 at 8 p.m., the group Cherish the Ladies return to engage the crowd in Irish traditions. The show, presented by A Music Hall/Music WIthout Borders, features Celtic instrumentation and Christmas carols.
