May events and activities at the Eden Project

The Eden Project[1] is playing host to a variety of events this May which is sure to cater for everyone. It is staging a family weekend with a Costa Rica Festival in advance of the half term and is also the venue for a residency by Dick and Dom throughout the holiday. The festival runs on May 18-19 from 10am until 6pm and will feature live music, dance and performance to give visitors a real taste of Costa Rica, along with exotic food tasting, storytelling and crafts.

There will also be a chance to see Eden's orchids, listen to experts and create an origami orchid to take home and a treasure trail will take you on a journey to explore the Central American country's rich biodiversity.

The Eden Sessions

Dick V Dom is a live 60-minute stage adaptation of Dick and Dom in da Bungalow and has proved hugely popular on tour. The Eden Project's marketing director Rita Broe said: "We're thrilled to be announcing Dick and Dom for their first-ever residency at Eden.

Every day over half term, thousands of families will be able to enjoy the kind of madness and mayhem only Dick and Dom can create."

There is also the Eden Classic sportive on May 12, a non-competitive mass participation cycle ride offering three spectacular routes, of 36, 60 or 100 miles.

Riders will pedal the length of Eden to start their ride and head off along the south Cornwall coast. Riders must register here[5]
