16 of the best beaches in Cornwall that could be mistaken for tropical paradises

There's little better than a day out at the beach on a sunny summer's day and luckily in Cornwall - we have a few. With more than 300 beaches across the county, there's ample choice to find your favourite rock pools or place to bathe in the sea. In no particular order, we have put together a list of some of the best tropical-looking beaches, so you know just where to head when the weather heats up.

Here are our top picks...

"There is a payable car park at the top of the beach. Lifeguards operate here too.

The views from the cliffs and looking across from The Minack Theatre are breathtaking. Let's keep this little cove spotless and as nature intended by not leaving any litter on the beach, we all have a responsibility to look after what our beautiful planet has to share. Enjoy."

"There is a very steep climb down so not recommended for everyone but it is worth it, we spent the day there with our one-year-old, dog and parents. There isn't anywhere for refreshments so you must take your own food and drinks (and clean up afterwards) but if the weather is good, which is was for us, you can have an amazing day."
