Holiday booking hack could save families thousands of pounds on Easter holidays

Families could save themselves thousands of pounds on Easter holidays, simply by choosing an alternative departure date. Research by Discount Holidays © Holiday Hypermarket[1] compared flight prices to a host of Discount Holidays © holiday hotspots, looking at departures from London, the Midlands, North West England and Scotland. It found that by travelling just a few days before or after peak days, families could stand to save up to GBP2,756 per family.

For example, a family of four heading to Lanzarote from London on the 8th April would be looking at prices around GBP1,228pp. However, switch to a 12th April departure (Easter Sunday) and those prices start from GBP539pp. Thinking of a trip to Spain’s sunny shores?

A Spain Discount Holidays © holiday with a Scotland departure on the 5th April could set a family back GBP867pp, but travel one day earlier and prices start from GBP558pp – a saving of GBP1,236 per family.
