The list of countries you can fly to without having to quarantine

Planning a holiday is never completely stress-free, but this year's process has been even more complicated. The changing coronavirus restrictions means that a number of popular holiday destinations including Spain, Portugal and France are currently off-limits and the rules in other countries could change overnight. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) are currently advising against 'all but essential' international travel, but have a list of countries exempt from quarantine that Brits can travel freely to.

This list is always changing, but promise quarantine-free travel for Brits returning home which takes off the stress of having to self-isolate for two weeks after landing. However, the government's list only notes countries that don't have restrictions upon arrival in the UK - so some countries, such as Australia, are deemed safe to travel to but aren't currently accepting visitors. The weather has been wet and miserable in the UK lately and it's the season where most families choose to jet off for some sun, sand and fun.

It's tough not having time to enjoy, de-stress and relax, especially with the tough events 2020 has brought us. So, as inspired by our sister site SurreyLive, here is a list of countries without quarantine restrictions on either leg of the journey, to give you as stress-free holiday as possible. Countries may have various terms and conditions to allow visitors but a 14-day quarantine is not part of their current rules.

As some favourites have been removed, there's plenty of choice both in Europe or further afield in the Carribbean.

People from the UK won't have to quarantine, however, if you've been in another country 10 days prior to visiting Austria you may need to self-isolate, or show a certificate showing a negative coronavirus test. Visitors have to complete an immigration form 24 hours prior to arrival and are advised to arrive with a negative PCR (polymerase chain reaction) Covid-19 test in order to be fast-tracked. If you arrive without a PCR, a mandatory test will be taken upon arrival and those people will have to quarantine until a result is provided, which can be up to 48 hours.

Those that test positive will be placed in isolation until they have recovered. The government has also warned people may need to quarantine at any time during their visit.
