More UK travellers are planning to take a staycation this year

In fact, almost a quarter of British holidaymakers are now more likely to travel within the UK 3 , according to a study of 2,000 Brits by online short term credit provider, Satsuma Loans.

Hotel executives spread holiday cheer

IN a bid to continue with its tradition of spreading the holiday cheer to the community, executives of Warwick International Hotels made their annual Christmas visits to local communities along the picturesque Coral Coast.

Warwick International Hotels senior vice-president Tammie Tam, regional general manager for the Pacific Dean Swaagman, The Warwick Fiji general manager Brad Downton, and The Naviti Resort general manager John Duxbury made the visits to neighbouring communities to spread the festive cheer.

Ms Tam said Christmas was a time of giving.

Domremy students' immersion first

Domremy College students and staff took part in the College s first immersion to Fiji during the October school holidays.

College Principal Vivienne Awad saw the October trip as a way to take the College s strong focus on social justice and community awareness a step further.

Such opportunities can have a profound impact on our graduates and provides them with a sense of why they should reach out to those who are socially disadvantaged, who are poor and in other ways marginalised, she said.
