Japanese Tourist Found Dead On Isle Of Skye

A Japanese tourist who went missing on the Isle of Skye has been found dead – as mountain rescue teams and a helicopter continue the hunt for a Frenchman. Kamai Yusuke, 29, was last seen on Saturday morning in Portree when he left his accommodation. His body was found in the Trotternish Ridge area of the island on Tuesday.

There are no suspicious circumstances and his family have been informed, Police Scotland said. Meanwhile search teams on the island are continuing the hunt for a second day for missing Frenchman Thierry Coffie.

Steven Fogg, from Aberdeenshire, slipped 600ft (182m) on 7 August while walking with two other people on the on the Carn Mor Dearg Arete ridge.

And 60-year-old lecturer Ian Bell, from Hertfordshire, was found on 3 August after failing to return from a walk the day before.
