How to pack like Marie Kondo

  • Fold and roll clothes as small as possible.
  • Place clothes side-by-side horizontally.
  • Put similar items into pouches.
  • Pack shoes
  • Tuck underwear into the space created by bra cups.

She said you must choose the items that bring joy, fold your clothes using the KonMari method and store clothes in your suitcase vertically so you can see them all at once.

Ms Quinn also revealed how she packs for a few days away.

‘In my travel kit, I have a couple of bags which hold items which I only take on overseas trips, so when I go away for the weekend, it is easy to exclude these bags,’ she told the publication.

‘The only other thing which makes me change my travel kit is duration, if I’m going for longer than two weeks, I take a few more supplies and use them to refill my kit along the way.’

She said that the things she takes on foreign trips include her passport and international adaptors.

The series has recieved a number of rave reviews.

Mothers from Down Under have taken on Marie’s mission with care, deciding to overhaul their bedroom cupboards, kitchen drawers and bookshelves after binge watching the documentary.

‘OMG it’s addictive! I was slow to start but once you pull everything out and sort through it, it becomes clear what sparks joy and what doesn’t,’ one very pleased woman wrote in a Facebook group.

‘BRAG ALERT! It took me almost a whole day but look how pretty… this is what Marie Kondo will do to you,’ another added.

Most of the positive feedback is accompanied by incredible transformation photos, with some women even following a ‘theme’ of wearing nautical clothing or all pink ensembles.
